MCF of SC shares its office with local garage Warren's Tires On Wheels, found between Haywood Mall and Woodruff Rd near I-385.
This is the location used for pick-up and drop-off of vehicles for all vehicle reservations. |
Where can i drive a MCF vehicle?
MCF vehicles are limited to a furlough address within a set radius of our location in Greenville, SC - this includes SC, GA, FL, NC, TN, KY, and VA. Our vehicles are reliable and checked over each time they are returned to us - however, they are older and may experience unforeseen mechanical failure. For this reason, MCF of SC vehicles MAY NOT be driven outside of the states listed above. If an individual so chooses to venture beyond these states, the individual is responsible for the FULL COST of returning the vehicle to our office or repair of the vehicle in the case of breakdowns or emergency.
Who can drive an mcf of sc vehicle?
Drivers of MCF of SC vehicles must be over the age of 21 and must have a current US license on file with the MCF of SC office.
What is the Registration Deposit and How much is this?
The Registration Deposit is a $200 deposit made to MCF of SC upon acceptance of a reservation. This helps secure your reservation on the MCF of SC schedule. If the Registration Deposit is not received within 30 days from the notification of acceptance, the reservation will be cancelled.
$100 of the Registration Deposit my be refunded at the time of vehicle return if the requirements for vehicle care and maintenance are followed with appropriate receipts. (See Rules of Operation for more details)

What about the monthly User Fee?
The monthly User Fee is charged for each month a vehicle is reserved. This fee helps in covering the vehicle's insurance and maintaining a safe operating status as deemed by MCF of SC. Charges are equal to $200.00 each month reserved and is not prorated, i.e. a reservation lasting between 0 to 1 months is charged $200.00 while a reservation lasting between 1 to 2 months is charged $400.00.
User Fees can be paid via cash, check or card and are due at the time of vehicle pick-up.
(A 3% fee will be added to any card transactions to cover processing charges.)

My Vehicle needs repairs, what do i do?
Minor Repairs:
To insure the longevity of the vehicle and that it will be functional for future missionaries, you are responsible for routine repairs and replacement of components while you have an MCF of SC vehicle. (i.e. tire repairs, batteries, alternators, brakes, etc.)
Major Repairs:
Repairs totaling over $500 are subject to PARTIAL reimbursement as approved by MCF of SC. You are liable to cover up to $500 per repair while in possession of an MCF of SC vehicle. Please see "Major Repairs" in the Rules of Operations for more details on how to apply for reimbursement.
